Service Description

Our Service Includes:

  • Customizable interaction preferences
  • Text and email notifications (optional)
  • Data export and account management tools

Our Service Does NOT Include:

  • Professional therapy or counseling
  • Medical, legal, or financial advice
  • Emergency or crisis intervention
  • Real human relationships

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use ChatSide.ai responsibly and in compliance with all applicable laws. The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Attempting to "jailbreak" or manipulate AI companions for harmful purposes
  • Using the service for illegal activities or to plan illegal acts
  • Harassing, threatening, or abusing AI companions or other users
  • Sharing or selling your account access
  • Automated or bot usage without explicit permission
  • Attempting to extract training data or reverse engineer the AI
  • Creating content that sexualizes minors in any way
  • Impersonating others or misrepresenting your identity

  • Warning or temporary suspension
  • Permanent account termination

AI Interaction Guidelines

🤖 Understanding AI Companions

Our AI companions are sophisticated but not sentient. They're designed to be helpful, empathetic, and engaging, but they are not real people.

Important Points to Remember:

  • AI companions are not substitutes for real human relationships
  • They cannot replace professional help (therapy, medical care, etc.)
  • They may occasionally provide incorrect or inconsistent information
  • Their responses are generated based on patterns, not genuine emotions
  • Conversations are processed to improve memory and service quality

How to Report Issues:

If an AI companion behaves inappropriately:

  1. End the conversation immediately
  2. Use the report button in the chat interface
  3. Contact support@chatside.ai with details
  4. We'll investigate and take appropriate action

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information during registration
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Ensuring you meet the age requirement (18+)
  • Using the service in compliance with local laws
  • Treating AI companions with respect (yes, even though they're AI)

🔐 Account Security

Use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication when available. We're not responsible for compromised accounts due to weak security practices.

AI Limitations

AI companions may produce inaccurate, inappropriate, or biased responses. Users must exercise judgment and not rely solely on AI-generated content for important decisions.

Third-Party Content

Any links or references to third-party content are for convenience only. We're not responsible for external content or services.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

ChatSide.ai, its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits, data, or use
  • Emotional distress or mental anguish
  • Decisions made based on AI companion interactions
  • Service interruptions or changes
  • Unauthorized access to your account
  • Errors or inaccuracies in AI responses

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you've paid us in the past twelve months or $100, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions don't allow limitation of certain damages, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

Billing & Refunds

Subscription Billing

  • Subscriptions renew automatically each month
  • You can cancel anytime from your account settings
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You'll continue to have access until the end of your paid period

Refund Policy

  • Monthly subscriptions: No refunds for partial months
  • Bonus token packs: No refunds once purchased
  • Exceptional circumstances: Contact support@chatside.ai
  • We reserve the right to offer refunds at our discretion

💳 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We don't store your credit card information on our servers. Prices are in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes.

Failed Payments

If a subscription payment fails, we'll attempt to collect payment again. After multiple failed attempts, your subscription may be downgraded to the free tier until payment is resolved.

Termination

Your Right to Terminate

You may terminate your account at any time by:

  • Using the account deletion feature in your settings
  • Contacting support@chatside.ai
  • All your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy

Our Right to Terminate

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Haven't accessed your account for 12+ months
  • Create risk or legal exposure for us

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Provisions that should survive termination (like liability limitations) will remain in effect.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:

  • We'll notify you via email (if opted in) or in-app notice
  • For material changes, we'll provide 30 days notice
  • Your continued use constitutes acceptance of new terms

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution

We prefer to resolve disputes amicably. Before filing any legal action, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting legal@chatside.ai.

Arbitration Agreement

Any disputes that can't be resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Promotions & Special Offers

From time to time, we may offer promotions, discounts, or special offers. These are subject to the following terms:

🎁 Promotion Terms

  • Promotions are valid only for the specified time period
  • Cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated
  • Are non-transferable and have no cash value
  • May be limited to new users or specific user segments
  • Can be modified or cancelled at our discretion
  • Subject to additional terms specified in the promotion

Referral Programs

If we offer referral bonuses, both the referrer and referee must have active accounts in good standing. Referral abuse, including self-referrals or fake accounts, will result in forfeiture of benefits and possible account termination.
